Sync Contacts to PC - Timeout period expired - error

I am able to connect the Star 5233 to my PC (XP). I have installed the latest PC studio software with USB Modem driver etc. However when I try to sync contacts through PC studio, it gives the following error.
"The following error occured while importing data from GT5233. This operation returned because the timeout period expired"

Tried many things... changing sims, deleting contacts. It works for a few contacts (about and then gives the error. What I see is reading the phone contacts is not a problem, when you write new contacts back to the phone, it give timeout error.

This is exactly my problem.  My contacts are sitting in New PC Studio, but when trying to sync back to my phone I get the timeout error.   Sorry i can't provide a solution, but hope someone sees this.  Thanks.
The error also says "homehome" can't be created.

I also get this error!!! It is very frustrating, as I have all my contacts from my old phone on Outlook, but cannot transfer them to my new phone. I have had the phone for 6months now and cannot get it sorted out. ANY HELP PLEASE!!!!
